Long Island Theresa Caputo struggles to save face after three failed attempts to cold read her prey! First, she asks an audience of approx. three hundred if anyone had lost a child? What are the odds (rolling my eyes)? She is firing shotgun questions hoping to strike her target.
A woman inline steps forward and tells Caputo she lost a child! Caputo will ask if the child lost was her son and the woman respond with a “no” and immediately Caputo saves face (after fail number 1) and says “oh, it was your daughter?” Lame!!!

I do not think you lost anyone close to you ? As it is silly question to ask How can someone be so gullible? Even me I am reaching in hopes she was real….. You want to stop the pain and have some kind of reassurance about who passed away, so yes people in this time are hurt and I would not say gullible, but reaching for anything that can ease the pain and heart ache of someone you really loved and had connections with and was close with… What is bad that people like her do this to people in pain and steal from them what a con artist unless they can prove they can actually communicate with people who have passed there should be law against them having tv shows and pry on innocent

These questions do not even come close to comparing. Caputo preys upon those grieving and grieving children, she has no boundaries as long as you can pay. How can someone be so gullible is appropriate, after continuous publications explaining how Fake-Fraud Teresa Caputo gains her “knowledge” and the fact there are multiple videos showing many of her “misses” that are conveniently are edited out for TV and still people refuse logic and fact over fantasy. She is cold reading at 400.00 + and more a pop. So yeah, I am again asking how people can be so damn gullible (rhetorically) and her penchant for reading children is probably the most disturbing part of her act. It is an act.
The kids she does this crap to face a long emotional turmoil she is helping to fuel by telling them she speaks with their dead loved one. So instead of them healing in the natural way of learning to accept a loss and deal with it and go on living, they are sucked into a growing psychological disaster and then to add injury to insult they are getting the message that it’s OK to consult occult ideologies in their life. Are you going to say you don’t see this as a problem? …
They (anyone) but especially children are ill-equipped to discern proper judgment concerning the various tactics involved with such occult acts. What happens when they decide they want more contact with their dead daddy or mommy? Will you be there to stop them and tell them this is not possible? What happens when they want to go “be with” that dead parent? Will you be there to save them? The road Teresa Caputo has just opened for a young mind has now entered in the realm of danger, the paths and possible outcomes created by such are endless. There can be no wiggle room and what she is doing is simply to line her own pockets and fleece the gullible; she does not care about “reuniting” anyone unless there is a paycheck in it… period
There is only one way to deal with that issue, sadly they are gone and the living individual MUST heal naturally through the grieving process, it is the only way to go on living and not chasing the dead. Most likely that lost loved one would not approve of what Caputo is doing.

I’ve found Theresa Caputo’s rise to fame fascinating. I felt the best way to determine her sincerity was to attend one of her ‘group readings’ and I went to the Chrysler Center in Norfolk on Oct. 26th. I wondered if those who paid over $400 per ticket would have more ‘readings’ than those in the balcony so I went to the balcony. I wasn’t disappointed. She spent approximately one-half hour explaining her ‘powers’ and then another 45 to 50 minutes with those in front up to mid-section of auditorium. She did come to the balcony for about 2 minutes but that was because she got off the elevator on the wrong floor; she meant to get off at the dress circle. She spent the remainder of her time (about 20-25 minutes) there and then returned to the first floor and then the stage. So, if you want to have a chance with her, you need to put out over $300 or have really good binoculars.

The truly said part is that there are so many people who are desperate to believe that they can hear from deceased loved ones. Theresa Caputo opened her show with explaining that she can’t possibly ‘read’ everyone so if what she says could possibly relate to you personally, then it relates to you. She calls it ‘piggy-backing.’ For a large crowd, when ‘spirit’ (this is what she calls it) comes to her, she may get so much information that it actually spills onto someone else, meaning she may be ‘reading’ multiple people. This is pretty clever: if she gets part of one person’s story and part of another person’s story, then bingo! she’s got two people believing she’s heard from their loved ones. Truly sad, truly. There were people openly crying, holding their loved ones’ tokens, hoping that Theresa would come to them. She’s got quite a game going and it’s really sickening to see how many believe her. Theresa definitely played to those who paid the big bucks. She put in many plugs about her show as well as her product line! She was wearing great shoes, though. That was probably the only real thing about the entire show.

There is rarely a scene where she isn’t in tears or claiming empathetic abilities, such as, “I could feel your tears running down my cheek.” In one episode she announces that the spirit of a deceased 6 year-old boy has become “attached” to her. Convinced that the only way to free the spirit is to meet with his mother, she tracks down the woman whose details she happens to have in an appointment book. Caputo appears to be greatly distraught by the little boy’s constant presence, but she is strangely unavailable for a session until the following week. She spent this week in apparent spiritual agony, yet still had time to have lunch with friends, all the while complaining about her invisible friend.”

And I’m still curious as to the detailed one-on-one readings she gives. “Why am I supposed to ask you about a pet mouse?” That’s not fishing. She was either fed that information, gleaned it in some surreptitious research, or she’s for real. Discounting the last possibility, she has some kind of angle. It shouldn’t be too hard to expose that angle.

Maybe the way to expose her is for someone to hire a private investigator to follow her before her “appointments” with the bereaved… I have a sneaking suspicion the reason shoe waited a week was to have enough time to research more and appear to know stuff she supposedly wouldn’t… a good newspaperman could interview neighbors and teachers and find out a lot about the 6-year-old the women would imagine she is suddenly “discovering”,,,

For some people, I think she provides a feeling of hope but she also gets away with it because she is on telivision so nobody really stops to look in to it. The thing she lacks most is depth, put your soul in to it if it is that well known to you. That is where things tend to be obscure, lack of empathy or at least care, she seems to brush emotions off quite well, which I find a little disturbing.

Not everyone believes in the bible. That being said, I don’t believe this is “God’s work” but I also don’t believe it’s “Satan’s work”. I do believe that some people have genuine psychic ability but I don’t think Ms. Caputo is one of them.

Actually at the height of the Nazi reign of terror, both Reich Minister of Propaganda; Joseph Goebbels and head of Nazi SS; Heinrich Himmler had a known interest in reverting to a modernized version of Germanic Paganism as the official religion of the State.
Hitler himself had a distinct disdain for the Catholic Church and it is theorized that any faith in Christianity he proclaimed was simply political rhetoric of his early party platform. Paganism and dabbling in the occult were prominent in the Nazi upper echelons when most of the killing occurred.

I’m not standing up for her or others that think they have such abilities, but the Bible is just a book and nothing more. I, too, can quote from any book I like, but that doesn’t make it any more or less true than your citations. There are plenty of books oh there (sacred or otherwise), and getting all your beliefs a book of an incredibly young religion (or believing just those things you want to believe, choosing and selecting only those things you want to) is not, to me, any reason to be scared of something you don’t understand or condone. Have your own beliefs and do your own thinking without using a crutch.

I just watched and analysed “On the Road part 1″ and I’d like to share some thoughts… the first thing that struck me is that if Theresa is psychic and connected, why did she have to guess if the lady at the door was Angie? The same goes for finding the lady in the airport, but not the baggage claim… second, she has the battle already won because she visits those willing to wholeheartedly believe everything (“But I think that it’s real” – the girlfriend who called her), so they won’t look for tells or try to to test the legitimacy… third, she goes with the percentages on everything… “but I love you more” (who hasn’t heard someone say that?)… “did he call you Buddy?” (why not “Slowpoke,” or some other unique name? even if they have unique names, most every dad at one time or another called his son buddy… that’s like calling your buddy “bro”)… that’s like “do you know someone named Smith?” and “do you always carry a pic of your dad?” (I still have my dad’s army photo, what are the chances a preteen who just lost his dad would carry it?} and even the woman at the airport… considering the death rate by violence of young African American men in large cities is unfortunately so high, that was the way to go… then she slips up… the question about the favorite picture is aimed at the son, then the gullible mother jumps up and gets the real favorite picture, which she has… so, which one is it?… Name tags? how many of us never joined or attended something where one is offered? (and figuring hi age of death would also lead to a probable reunion of some sort)… Selling the house? Easily found in the local real estate pages… mysterious death? first of all the triathlete husband was never conveniently around to tell his side of the story… but it’s not so mysterious when one figures that out of a triathlon he died in the water and not on land… more than likely, he got a cramp that affected his swimming too far from shore, and that would never show up in an autopsy… so, from a few high percentage guesses, a little extra leg work and the local paper, playing on the victim’s emotions (“your dad is very proud of you”) and already willingness to believe, and then building on info already ascertained through such means (she long knew they had senses of humor before she threw that in at the end), she got to make another customer “happy” and another show successful….

I have a hard time believing she’s fake. Everyone makes mistakes. Just because you caught a few of hers here and there doesn’t mean she’s fake as a whole. You can’t continue to replay the same clip/clips over and over and think you’ve provided enough proof. And even then, mediumship is real, my mother has attended a medium with family and friends and the woman was correct on all of her, what you would call, “guesses.” You’ll never be able to truly prove that she’s fake, is all I’m trying to say.

He’s uploaded quite a few videos showing that she sounds a lot like a cold reader. Either she’s a fraud or this is just a huge coincidence(highly unlikely). Why is it that you’re willing to believe your family members’ story about an amazing reading, but not willing to watch the sketchy stuff Theresa does in her readings and call it out for what it is?

Because this person picks and chooses only a few things here and there that would make sense, if she hadn’t already released a ton of other things that show she’s not a cold reader. I’m not trying to say that there’s absolutely no way to prove her wrong at all and that she’s real. But, that in general, mediumship is real.

Why do you think he picks and chooses? He’s done a lot of her live unedited readings and even some footage from her show. Let’s assume for a moment that he did. His logic is pretty solid. What she does can easily be explained as cold reading. Do you have an example of her doing something amazing that a cold reader couldn’t?

Here it is. As I watch Mrs. Caputo on television, I feel a sense of wholesomeness from her and those she connects with. I have to believe in her because of how I feel when I witness her work. I question nothing. I read all of these negative, “Out to callout somebodybecause she makes so much money” posts. It despises me that all of these people would care enought o try and bring her down. Use you head and your heart, let people be and live and beleive in everything and anything that seems real. Its probably true!!! And keep your mouth shut!!! So you don’t look stupid! God Bless!

I don’t think anyone on here expresses negative comments about Caputo because she “makes so much money”. So do many famous magicians and illusionists, but I don’t see any negative remarks about them. Why? Because in the end, both the magician and the audience know that the act is fake.
Next time, count how many questions she (and other cold readers) ASK. I thought the “spirits” were supposed to be telling her things.
Still unsure? You can purchase books that will train you in the technique. Also look up Cold Reading on wikipedia and note how it perfectly describes what these charlatans are doing.
Caputo and her ilk are doing immeasurable harm and raking in money based on the emotional pain that people are suffering over the loss of a loved one. It makes me realize how frustrated Houdini must have been in his quest to expose mediums and their hold over audiences.

I am a medium as well…born with the gift(which surfaced around 14 yrs old) and have never read a book or researched how to “perform” this. In fact I wish I could turn it off. Because for me it is very invasive constantly getting messages for other people. I tell strangers things I could never possibly know along with physical description, body language and powerful messages. The need to give the message is so overpowering. So I do it. I don’t want to scare people and I certainly don’t want to see anyone cry. I’m so incredibly empathetic I feel their pain. It hurts to have to hide your gift because people can be so mean and judgmental. Living in shame of your gift sucks and people like you make it even worse.
Just because you don’t believe or don’t know how to do it does not mean it is false or harmful. Have I told random strangers about their deceased family members…YES…have they cried…YES. But all in all they were very thankful and appreciative and seem to find the closure and peace they were searching for. I’ve read taxi drivers who won’t let me pay because they are so thankful and I still throw $10 dollars in the front seat. They always hug me and if you notice a lot of people do the same for Theresa. Where is the harm in that!?
I just read a backup singer for a very famous performer…I’ve read people in the produce department all walks of life and have never charged anyone ever. People have offered me money and I don’t take it. So what if she makes money from the tv show…she is reading so many people for free. You have no idea how energetically draining this gift can be. Not to mention she is showing mediums in good light for the world to see. We are good people and healers. There are definitely fakes out there and she is not one.
I love that she is showing the life that mediums live and giving us a voice. You would never understand the life we(mediums) live. And if you did. You would know that it is ALWAYS for GOOD. Stop being so judgmental..We do exist!
On a side note. Have you noticed that scientific medicine is now leaning towards a more “HOLISTIC” method of healing. Meaning: Mind, Body and SPIRIT. Spirit does exist. I’m also not sure how Houdini ( a magician) has anything to do with mediums. Two totally different worlds but whatever.

If Caputo was real, (1) the government would not allow her to roam freely. They would silence her for fear that she would find out what happened to JFK and thousands of other unsolved deaths.
(2) She could work with detectives all around the world to solve murder mysteries.

If you think she has a “gift” after all of the evidence presented here and elsewhere, you are extremely naive and gullible …the episodes are highly edited if not completely staged and as the Inside Edition investigation revealed; her live shows are MUCH different than what you see on TV (with the exception of reading planted actors and focusing on audience members that she has prescreened by surreptitious means)…
In some cases people simply want to believe so badly that they subconsciously conflate vague and ambiguous guesses into highly accurate “hits” by way of confirmation bias…
Then you all attempt to justify these egregious predatory practices by way of fuzzy pragmatic rationalization: ”It makes people feel better so it’s okay” …
Crack and heroin are also a temporary quick fix but they are known to have deleterious long term effects and most experts agree that the long term effects of this type of delusional immersion will be adverse at best …

This is about way more than not liking her. She makes a living out of deceiving people, many of whom are emotionally unstable. She charges hundreds of dollars to tell them nothing useful. How long are these people comforted by her reading until they need another one? Why isn’t it better to go to a therapist and actually get over the loss of a loved one instead of telling yourself they’re happy wherever they are now?

I’m on the fence I suppose, but did see an episode that was convincing. A friends called Theresa and asked her to read her friend whose husband had passed. Once at the home she wrote ‘ring’ in her book and circled it, among other words. The woman was speechless, saying her husband had told her he’d use the word ‘ring’ if he could somehow communicate with her. Theresa also said something about a photo of the husband, a folder, and a name tag. The wife ran out of the room and came back with a folder her son carries with him with his dad’s picture. In the photo his dad is wearing a name tag.
So was this all fake – a set up for the TV show?

I’m not sure what you write, but I hope you have good editors… first off, the word is accept, not except… secondly, Aries is the Zodiac sign, not the God of war… that is Ares… oh yeah, and it’s guarantee… and without scientific proof or disproof, I don’t see any guarantees one way or another… like someone else mentioned, I’d rather throw it all aside, and see her take the test offered, and that way people can decide for themselves based on some kind of logical basis, rather than a he said-she said scenario. In an age where audiences are pre-screened, deaths are dutifully recorded, and microphones and earpieces can be made virtually invisible, the scam artist doesn’t even have to be good at doing a cold read, they just need to have a crew in back feeding them information. This is one of the most telling videos yet of how Caputo operates. It would be interesting if someone kept track of how many questions she asks during one of her appearances. It is so true–if she were truly “psychic”, the spirits would be telling her the answers and/or directing her to a specific person. This is just SO SAD.
I love her “I’m just an ordinary person like you” presentation, seemingly pretending that her “gift” even takes her by surprise. You can fool some of the people some of the time….
I can’t believe how people fall for this bunk. Especially since not one so called psychic predicted the 9/11 attacks. Not one. Isn’t that one fact enough to prove these people are fake?
Unfortunately there are no laws against people like Caputo, Edward, Coffey etc. playing their, IMO, tricks and techniques to take advantage of grieving people. I don’t know how they sleep at night.

If she is using her “God given” talent..then she should follow the advice of the Bible, Mark 12:17 – Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they marveled at him. SO…she should donate any and all proceeds from her “talent” to a good charity….she should use her “gift” to help people…not profit from it…that is not very Christlike now is it….but I have a feeling she is just going to keep looking for suckers to use her “gift” on…got to pay for college now…and since Larry just hangs out around the house grooming the small mammal on his chin all day…somebody has to bring home the bacon…she is not that good at cold reading either…and how does anyone know that this is not being manipulated by TLC? Demonic nationalism is prophesied in the Bible. Attending her seminars or getting a personal reading puts ones own God created spirit steadfast in Satan clutches. Theresa assures her people their loved ones are with God but does not clarify who her God is, why?, because mediums are not channeling from the true God!!! Satanic followers call, Satan, God. I predicted 9/11… But I saw the pentagon not the twin towers(the only people that I told were my Co-Workers in the E.R.
The first time I had witnesses that I was speaking to someone who had just passed… Was when I was 3yrs. old.
I was with my nanny, who only spoke Spanish.
My parents had just arrived back from the hospital because my grandmother just passed.
They found me on her bed kneeling at the cross & talking.
Apparently I was speaking my grandmothers language fluently.
What my parents have told me is that
What I apparently said was, “Grandmother Said… She had to go with Jesus now. But she wants us all to know that she loves us & if we ever need her… Just call on her”.
Them I looked back at the cross & continued to wave.
I will state, the most frustrating thing while having premonitions is…. I don’t know how to read them.
If I did… I could have saved hundreds if not thousands of lives…. But I don’t know half the time what my permissions mean until its to late.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness
Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 4:9 “when he says that you yourselves are taught by God to love one another” literally meaning you are “God Taught” (qeodidaktos)

I respect your right to not believe in her or any other medium for that matter it is everyones right to believe in what they choose..my point is there is much proof that spirits(ghosts) do exist and that they can communicate with the living..spirits are ones soul.the Bible also says that…most people do not believe because we are wired to fear the unexplained, the unknown…

Did you read the “original” in Aramaic? You know the bible has changed a lot since the church changes it whenever a new problem arises.
