People, we do NOT make this stuff up and one more client (one who has elephantine courage) gingerly steps forward to moderately tell his story and we are HOPING he will carry forward with this developing piece of writing.
Due to privacy we cannot tell you the episode; however we can tell you the client is VERY unhappy and because of the humiliation brought on by Paranormal State at moment he wishes to remain anonymous. Scifake is in contact with this person and we TRUST he will share more of his unfortunate experience about Ryan and the PNS crew.
This shattered story reinforces our recent article pertaining to Paranormal State and how the producers (in our opinion) misrepresent the needs of the client! I know, it’s a TV show and the favorable outcome depends on successful ratings; however, NOT at the expense and reputation of each client.
Keep in mind, this person is not the first fearless disputant to challenge Paranormal State and we are certain he will NOT be the last! After all, this mentally defective show is only offering atomic entertainment for a buttonhole audience and we are certain the exposure of more fraudulence is undoubted.
Now, when you read an excerpt from this man’s email he is obviously very upset and he feels humiliated. Also, we should make it known archaic Chip Coffey was part of this embarrassing episode. According to our second source (same episode), Chip was given information prior to his arrival and he was asked not to focus on the deceased.
Email Excerpt. Please keep in mind, we wrote this person after we received a tip and he responded. We have removed identifying information.
Our excerpt email to the client.
My name is Ron Tebo and I am a contributor for scifake.com. Recently, we received a credible tip (second tip) about how the producers for Paranormal State were untruthful in regards to the episode shot at your *****. We know about **** and we are sorry! However, it’s to our understanding Chip was told NOT to speak about ***** and he violated this understanding? Also, we were told too the staff was seen laughing and disrespecting ****.
We have exposed Paranormal State before (http://scifake.com/?p=2566 http://scifake.com/?p=2085) and we owe it to their fans to further come out with this story and we will report the story; however, we are asking for your help. The story can be reported in complete anonymity and we will NOT give up our source.
Client’s reply excerpt.
I appreciate your concern in this matter but we do not wish to have a repeat of any kind. Many of us have accepted the fact that the show was made without our permission. The ****** and myself did not want any kind of TV show being shot about our department. However we were over ruled by people above the both of us. After the show had aired it was found to be a mistake by all involved.The people who allowed the TV shoot to take place were ” Sorry they overruled ” us. The TV show made the department look very bad from the ******** and myself. We have dealt with ridicule from other ******* and our very own residents. Many involved in the TV show from our department have left knowing that they have embarrassed us and the community. So thank you but NO THANK YOU. This would only bring up memories that most of us try to put in the past. I knew ***** very well and all of his children. I suffered a loss when he past as did his family and our department.
In our opinion, Paranormal State is a fraud and the show is deceiving. It’s obvious clients are humiliated and embarrassed for ratings. We expect more to come forward and we will keep you informed.
When ever you mix money,the Paranormal and Religion, plus TV. You get innocent people getting hurt. PS has always left a bad taste in my mouth and this just makes it worse. I feel bad for those who where hurt and used so some greedy fools could make money.
“atomic entertainment”
now that is funny.

Reading the client’s letter excerpt I was easily able to figure out the episode in question as another from the Garden State shot around the same time as the episode I was involved in. The episode was a total embarrassment with Chip Coffey taking lessons from William Shatner by giving a stellar ham and cheese performance. I don’t blame the clients for their horror and embarrassment.

@Mark:
People may have figure the episode; however, the person will remain anonymous and his name is in the vault!
It’s SHAME others allowed PNS to get involved; however, maybe the deciding people did not know about PNS’s deceit. Live and learn.
AS I’m writing this (NO KIDDING) another ominous letter arrives about another episode; however this did not air yet. Ohhhhhh boy! I can’t say anymore until all the facts are gathered. Wow.

@Mark: Thanks Mark…now I have an Image of Chip sounding like Capt.Kirk and rambling on about spirits.
Damn it Jim, I’m a Doctor..not a Psychic!

I too know which episode this is…but as far as to which person this is from that is still anonymous in the post
This show did deal with a very sensitive subject it was the way the show took advantage of this was tasteless
To the Clients involved here, I don’t view this as a embarrassment for any of you, but
rather another example of how this show, puts a spin on things, regardless of how many they may step on in the process for their own gain
Thats my 3 cents on this joke of a program

I have always viewed this show as a farce beyond redemption, but this allegation of flagrant disregard of a specific request made by the client not discuss certain aspects of the case but were brought up anyway by Chip even though the producer promised it wouldn’t; is indicative of either a lack of communication between the production staff and Chip, intentional deception by the producers or intentional deception by Chip …either way there seems to be an emerging pattern of reports that are indicative of the best interests of the client not necessarily being the priority on Paranormal State …

@RonTebo:
I’m sorry Ron, I didn’t mean anything ominous in my comment. I totally respect the client’s privacy and anonymity, and I would never jeapordize that. I was just saying that since I figured out which episode it was from I fully remember Chip’s actions and they were disgusting.

Get rid of ParaTV–all of it! Yes it has brought the paranormal into the homes of everyone etc etc etc..but now it is obviously doing more harm than good..Remember, people generalize and we will ALL begin to look like a bunch of unprofessional, inconsiderate neanderthals to everyone-especially the sceptics..

@Joseph J. Andrasi: ..and I spelled Skeptics wrong…sorry

Actually, the British spell it with a “c” (“sceptic”), so you’re not entirely off.
I agree with getting rid of all this para-tv business. It needs to start, however, with getting people (especially the skeptics, who still watch!) to stop supporting it! As long as the food is there, the sharks will feed. Cut off their food supply, and they’ll go away. I think I’m getting this logic from ‘Jaws’, but it is relevant to television execs (and, possibly, certain paranormal investigators gone ‘pseudo-celeb’. VR

PS. TAPS’s website looks more like a Christmas storefront than a research webspace (don’t visit it, you’ll just give them desired traffic hits). No, Jason, I will not buy your new book. If I needed toilet paper, I’d just drive to Costco. VR

There must be someone out there that knows something on how to start a Paranormal Ghost Hunting Team. Because I’m sure we’d hear about elderly couples losing their life savings just to get rid of the ‘ghost in the washing machine’. There are two distinct groups – the ghost hunters who are actually in this to help families claim their lives back and then there are the wannabe ghost hunters who appear to be helping by bringing in extra help. We obviously need to filter out these two very different groups.

blah blah blah blah
how old are we.??
Para-TV(as we can see) isnt going anywhere. its the new “in” for adrenaline junkies (which consists of the majority of the worlds population) so just lay down the fact that its going to stay for awhile.
as for the people from the email, i am not sorry for wat happened. it is a R-E-A-L-I-T-Y show. if you didnt like the results knowing full well that nothing is secretive on a R-E-A-L-I-T-Y show then why sign up for it??
thats my question.
actually i do kinda feel sorry but for the decesed and his family but not for wat happened.
